SENIOR PRODUCT MANAGER (Food Manufacturing)

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Deliver exceptional products and experiences by integrating business strategy with product strategy and technical expertise.
  • Champion new product development processes, including Stage Gate, across multiple facilities and platforms.
  • Identify and communicate potential product launch risks early and proactively develop mitigation strategies for smoother product launches.
  • Lead and manage change initiatives related to product development and commercialization. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address resistance, communicate changes effectively, and ensure stakeholder buy-in for successful product launches.
  • Steer multiple projects from prototyping through to market launch, ensuring seamless execution across all stages. Develop and maintain detailed project plans, outlining key milestones, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Partner with Sales to understand customer needs, address pain points, and enhance sales efforts.
  • Collaborate with Finance and Sales to ensure product financials (volume, revenue, margin) align with company expectations.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to colleagues, fostering a culture of growth and process optimization within the product team.
  • Contribute to the vision, strategy, and processes for evolving the product management function.
  • Collaborate with Marketing to develop go-to-market strategies and execute effective portfolio product launches.
  • Support enterprise-wide initiatives as needed.

 

QUALIFICATIONS 

  • Bachelor's degree in Business and/or Marketing
  • 5+ years of product or project management experience, brand and/or category management with significant cross-functional interaction
  • Experience in Foodservice, CPG, Food Manufacturing company is considered an asset
  • Focused on providing exceptional customer experience to both external and internal customers
  • Ability to lead, plan, and deliver multiple projects at the same time across numerous production facilities both in person and virtually
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships across the business
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, English required
  • Understanding of basic principles of data analysis, costing, finance, and manufacturing
  • Strong presentation skills with ability to present to senior leadership, internal and external customers, and conduct training
  • Understanding of stage gate new product process
  • Passionate about clear communication, workback schedules, and collaboration to drive success
  • Comfortable working with or learning new computer software and project management tools such as ERPs, Microsoft D365, and Adobe Workfront
  • Potential Travel: 20%
